General Electric radio
I ran across this General Electric, eight-transistor P-780 AM radio while browsing at an antique book store. The remarkable thing about the radio is its heft. I expected its weight to be that of a hardback novel, but it was more like a bowling ball. The radio appears to have first been manufactured at the end of the 1950s. I couldn't easily get at a patent number, so if anyone has one please let me know what you find and I'll add the patent here. 1958
Invented by Ralph Brown, Lee Berberian and Dick Montmead
